This cilantro lime shrimp pasta hits all the right notes:
- Ready in about 15 minutes
- Simple ingredients with big flavor
- Kid-friendly and great for adults too
Think of it as a bright twist on classic garlic shrimp pasta, with lime and cilantro lifting the flavors for a fresher finish.
How to make it
Begin by bringing a large pot of heavily salted water to a rolling boil for the pasta.
Cook the linguini according to package directions until al dente, then drain.
Prepare the remaining ingredients: garlic, cilantro, limes, shrimp, white wine, olive oil and butter.

Warm a large nonstick skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil and butter.
Season the shrimp generously with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper. Spread them in the skillet and cook just until they turn pink, about a couple minutes per side depending on size.

Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside. Add the garlic and white wine to the skillet, raise the heat to bring the sauce to a boil, then lower to medium-low and simmer for a minute or two until slightly reduced and glossy.
Toss the drained linguini into the skillet with the lime juice and the chopped cilantro, mixing well to coat the pasta with the sauce. Return the cooked shrimp to the pan, toss gently, and serve immediately.

Tips & Tricks
Linguini works beautifully with this sauce, but spaghetti or other long pasta shapes will also do the job.
Fresh limes give the best citrus brightness. If you don’t have limes, use 2–3 tablespoons of lime juice as a substitute.
Don’t be shy with the cilantro — add a good handful so the herb shines through the sauce.
