Monday Motivation: 6 Quick Boosts to Jumpstart Your Week

Hi everyone — happy new week!

It’s Motivational Monday, and I’m here to inspire and energize you for the week ahead. I hope you had a lovely weekend. I took a short vacation over the past two weeks, which is why I paused my weekly posts, but now I’m back and ready to share healthy recipes and motivational updates.

Today is a special anniversary for me: two years ago I decided to change my life and adopt a healthier lifestyle. The start was difficult — I didn’t know much about healthy cooking or nutrition, and stepping out of my comfort zone was challenging. There were ups and downs, but I kept my focus: I wanted to be healthier, feel better, and be happier. Even the smallest progress motivated me to keep going.

That decision changed my life. Here’s what I do now as part of a healthy lifestyle:

  • I eat minimally processed foods.
  • I include plenty of fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables.
  • I choose healthy fats like olive oil, coconut oil, and linseed oil.
  • I avoid processed meats such as salami, store-bought sausages, and pâté.
  • I don’t consume refined sugar or foods made with white flour.
  • I focus on high-quality lean proteins and limit unnecessary fats.
  • I prefer whole-grain products that provide fiber and nutrients.
  • I prepare most of my meals so I can control ingredients and portions.
  • I use health-promoting spices like ginger, turmeric, and cinnamon.
  • I avoid store-bought sodas and packaged juices.
  • I choose healthy snacks.
  • I make desserts and sweets using wholesome ingredients.
  • I eat several smaller, balanced meals throughout the day.
  • I practice mindful eating and listen to my body.
  • I stay active — walking often, practicing yoga, and running.

After two years of consistent changes, the results are clear. I’ve lost over 100 pounds and feel much healthier overall. The complete story of my journey is available in my post “How I lost 100+ pounds with healthy eating.”

Losing that weight has improved my quality of life in many ways. Walking is easier, lower back pain is gone, and my knees no longer hurt. I can be more active with my family and handle daily tasks with greater ease. Eating a balanced, nutritious diet also boosted my energy and improved my skin, hair, and nails. All of these changes raised my confidence — I feel happier and laugh more, and people around me notice the difference.

My healthy choices have influenced my whole family. I’m proud that my family now eats healthier and shares this lifestyle with me. I also try to set a good example for my child, teaching healthy habits that I hope will continue for generations. Friends and many readers have been inspired as well — some have followed this path and achieved their own successes. That’s the reason I started this blog: to share what worked for me and support others on their journeys.

Health is now a way of life for me. It brings genuine happiness, and I feel its positive effects every day. If you’re still unsure or only thinking about making a change, remember this: nothing is impossible. Set a goal for a healthier, happier you. You have the strength to shape the life you want.

I send you lots of kisses. Until next Monday…

Love,
