Orange County Islands Restaurant
If you’re searching for a family-friendly Islands Restaurant in Orange County, there are many locations to choose from. On this visit we went to the Islands on Tustin Avenue in Orange, California.
When my children were young we ate at Islands often. The menu and atmosphere were perfect for families — kids’ meals, playful decor, and those signature plastic cups that little ones love. Even though my kids are grown now, the memories of those visits made returning enjoyable.
Islands still serves the classics well. Their burgers and fries remain standouts, and the menu offers a wide variety of gourmet burger and grilled chicken combinations. I appreciated that veggie patties and turkey burgers are available with the same toppings as the beef burgers, so everyone in the group can customize their meal.
We started our meal with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip and an order of French Fries topped with cheese. For my main dish I chose a veggie burger topped with grilled pineapple — it was flavorful and well-prepared. The food was satisfying, with fresh toppings and generous portions.
Service during our visit was attentive and friendly, and prices were reasonable. We ordered more than we needed for four hungry adults and still had leftovers to take home, yet the total bill was lower than I expected for that amount of food.
To finish, we shared the Kona Pie, which lived up to its reputation — rich, creamy, and a delightful way to end the meal. It felt great to rediscover Islands and find that many of the familiar favorites are still available and done well.
