Fruity Wine Sorbet Slushies: Refreshing Adult Frozen Drinks

These are dangerously good.

Frozen fruit and white wine are blended with sorbet, finished with an extra scoop on top, and ideally enjoyed poolside. A kiddie pool works perfectly well.

Honestly, after a couple of these, you can put your feet in a washbasin of water, tilt your face toward the sun, imagine you’re at a five-star resort, and be content.

Fruit Sorbet Wine Slushies

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Sauvignon Blanc (or another dry white wine)
  • 2 cups peaches or nectarines, peeled and sliced
  • 2 cups berries — any variety or a mix
  • 2 pints fruit sorbet

Instructions

  1. Pour half the wine and the peaches or nectarines into a blender and puree until smooth. Transfer the puree into a lidded container. Rinse the blender, then add the remaining wine and the berries and puree. Pour that mixture into a second lidded container. Freeze both containers for at least 12 hours.
  2. When frozen, remove the containers and break up the mixtures with a knife so they will blend more easily. Place the contents of one container into a blender with 1 cup of fruit sorbet and blend until slushy. Pour this into glasses to fill them about halfway. Repeat with the other frozen mixture and pour into the glasses to fill.
  3. Top each glass with an extra scoop of sorbet and serve immediately.
