What I love most about the Super Bowl? The snacks. This buffalo chicken dip disappears fast at our parties — it’s always the first appetizer to go. It delivers the buttery, spicy flavor of buffalo wings with cheesy dip satisfaction. Best of all, it’s lighter than traditional recipes because we swap mayo and heavy dressings for protein-rich Greek yogurt to keep the texture creamy without excess fat.

Ingredients used to make healthier buffalo chicken dip

Ingredients You’ll Need

Shredded chicken: Use homemade shredded chicken or store-bought for convenience. (See the homemade method below.)

Frank’s RedHot: A classic choice for buffalo flavor. (Avoid thicker wing sauces for this dip.)

Greek yogurt: Plain Greek yogurt keeps the dip light while adding protein. Use 0% or whichever you prefer.

Cream cheese: One 8-ounce package, softened to make mixing easier.

Mozzarella: Low-moisture part-skim mozzarella grated from a block has the best texture and flavor.

Cheddar: Extra sharp cheddar adds tang, though mild or sharp will also work.

Green onion: Use both white and green parts for more flavor.

Spices: Just salt and garlic powder to season the dip.
