PEAAAANUUUUT!

Yesterday Peanut turned nine months old, and I can’t help but get all the sentimental dog-mom feelings—part joy, part “my puppy is growing up” panic. Time moves so fast when your life revolves around a little wagging tail.
So today, on the first day of fall, I’m sharing what matters most: more dog pictures and fewer pumpkin spice recipes. This summer was Peanut’s very first summer, and she made the most of it.

She enjoyed long walks on the beach, romps at the dog park with new pals, and tasted every seasonal fruit she could get her paws on—strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, peaches, watermelon, and apples were definite favorites. Peanut also discovered a love of garden veggies (she’s obsessed with zucchini), took her first weekend trip, climbed her first mountain, made friends with neighborhood cats, dined outside at restaurants, found and chewed the best sticks, napped by the fan, made friends with humans big and small, learned to swim, and experienced so many small adventures that add up to a joyful puppy summer.

I hope your summer was as full of fun and love as Peanut’s. Here’s to a new season of adventures with my number-one pup. If you have a furry friend, give them an extra belly rub from me today.
